swoon swoon... to my anti-valentine

Last Tuesday was fun, meet up with the girlies (Emma from Showpony, Rachael from Hannah Zakari & Tracey from T-Boo) for our burger club and then later on to swoon at Gruff Rhys (from the Super Furry Animals) at Glasgow's Oran Mor.

It's the first time I had been at Ketchup's up West End's Ashton Lane. Inside was a sort of modern kitch 50's diner. Food was ok but soooooo over priced. There was a good selection of burgers but starting from about £8 - just for the burger!! no chips, no sides or anything for that!! If your looking for a yummy burger I think Bar 91 down Candleriggs is the best in Glasgow.

From there we toddled on down to Oran Mor for a wee bit of Gruff Rhys action :-) He is touring his new album Hotel Shampoo.

As we were quite early we managed a bag ourselves the best swooning seats there.. on the front row! Gruff played a great set, peppered with magic sound effect drum sticks, bobble hats, good chat and signage. Check below for a clip of the magic drumsticks, I so want a set. Which has reminded me of the set of finger electric steel drums my friend has. so good for playing along (badly) to tunes and annoying people. youcan view them here .

So the next day it was my radio show,

phewee, has it been that long?

Oh dear can't believe it was November last time I was on here! It's been a busy, cold, long winter but so glad to see the first signs of spring are popping and bursting out in the garden. Thankfully we'll soon have a carpet of colour outdoors.

I took this photo one chilly but lovely walk up East Kilbride in December, it was taken on my phone so excuse the quality. Don't think East Kilbride has looked so pretty!

Here is a photo, also taken on just my phone, of Freda Ding Dong in the supermarlet carpark with a little mound of snow!
and a lovely santa hat my friend Alecia made me for Christmas, so cosy and warm!!

On the Ding Dong front we were included in the super cute magazine 'Little Thing' in December, even my niece got in on the pic! We're the pictures at the bottom left of the page (puppets and stall). Unfortunately we haven't been able to get our hands on a copy as yet...

Here at Ding Dong headquarters we decided not to make any new years resolutions but to promise lots of new puppets, badges and all going well, a new website!!

Just a quickie today, so signing off!
